Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working together, pricing, technical details, and availability.
About Working Together
Async only—email, voice notes, recorded videos. No calls required. I work in focused blocks (Melbourne time, 15 hours/week) and respond within 24-48 hours during business hours.
No. You review things when you have time. I work when I have focus. We both stay productive.
Even better. I’m your “friend from the future.” You send feedback overnight, wake up to progress. Works beautifully.
Moderately. I’ll need your input on design decisions, workflow details, and content. Then I disappear to build. Then you test and give feedback. Repeat until it’s right.
I explain everything in plain language. No jargon unless necessary. You don’t need to understand how it works—just that it does.
About Projects
Depends on complexity. Solo practitioner site: 3-4 weeks. Retreat booking system: 5-7 weeks. Multi-practitioner enterprise: 8-12 weeks. I’ll give you a specific timeline in your proposal.
No. Rush jobs produce poor systems. I work the hours I work. If you need it faster, you need a different developer.
Small adjustments are fine. Major scope changes get quoted separately and extend the timeline. I’m flexible but I don’t do free scope creep.
Yes. I have demo sites showcasing different systems—solo practitioner, retreat booking, multi-revenue business. Email me and I’ll send links.
Yes. Most of my ideal clients are international. Currency is USD for non-Australian clients.
About Pricing & Payment
Custom quoted based on complexity. Generally: $4K-6K for solo practitioner builds, $8K-12K for retreat/event systems, $15K-20K for multi-practitioner enterprises. You’ll get exact pricing in your proposal.
50% upfront to start, 50% on completion. For larger projects (over $10K), I can sometimes break the final payment into two installments. But no payment plans over months—I’m not a bank.
That’s fair. Come back when you can. Or start smaller and add features later. But I won’t lower my rates—my work is worth what it costs.
No. Your proposal includes everything needed for launch. Hosting and domain costs are separate (you pay those directly to providers). Optional maintenance is clearly priced.
No. You buy them yourself. You own them. I’ll recommend providers but you make the purchase.
About Ownership & Long-Term
Yes. Your domain, hosting, all files, the code, content—it’s all yours. Complete admin access. No lock-in.
That’s your right. You own everything. I’ll even help with the transition if needed. No hostages.
Morbid, but fair question. You have complete access to everything. Any WordPress developer can maintain your site. I also document how things work.
Not required, but strongly recommended. WordPress needs updates. Things break. Having someone watching is worth the cost. You can start maintenance anytime, but if you sign up at launch you get 2 months free.
Yes. 30 days notice. I’ll help transition to another developer if you want.
About Technical Stuff
Because you own it. Unlike proprietary platforms (Squarespace, Wix, etc.), WordPress is open source. You’re not locked into monthly fees forever. It’s also infinitely flexible when you need custom solutions.
Yes, when built properly. I implement security hardening, use trusted plugins, and keep everything updated. Maintenance plans include ongoing security monitoring.
Yes. I optimize for performance. Custom code instead of bloated plugins. Proper caching. Image optimization. Your site will load quickly.
Always. More than half your clients book on phones. Everything I build is fully responsive.
Probably. WordPress integrates with most major services. Tell me what you use and I’ll confirm.
Easy. That’s the beauty of custom builds—everything’s documented and expandable. Additional features are quoted as new projects.
About My Availability
3-4 per month maximum. I work 15 hours a week. Quality over quantity.
Currently booking Q1 and Q2 2026. Apply early for preferred timing.
Waitlist. Or I’ll recommend other developers I trust.
Rarely. My priority is existing clients. If I have capacity and it’s truly urgent, maybe. But don’t count on it.
About You
Yes. That’s my focus. I understand your business model, your clients, and what you need. I don’t want to learn a new industry—I want to be excellent at this one.
Different is fine. Weird is fine. Complex is fine. As long as it’s wellness-related and you need custom systems, we can probably work together.
No. You just need to know your business and your clients. I’ll handle the technical side.
